Run! City Portsmouth at Canoe Lake
We're delighted to be partnering Run! City Portsmouth who will be organising group running sessions at Canoe Lake starting on Saturday 25th June 2016.
The groups, led by England Athletics qualified coaches and personal trainers, are designed to help gain running experience and to increase fitness levels.
There are 2 sessions being held, with a start running group at 11am, which is available to all aged 16+ who are new to running, those that think of themselves as beginners, people who are returning to running after a long break, and anyone that considers themselves to be unfit. The aim being to help you start running in a progressive and safe way, with the sessions including walking and running intervals. Most importantly of all, the sessions aim to make it fun.
The second group will be at 10am, with the aim of running better. Those who can run 5km or more are welcome, as well as those wishing to increase their running fitness, speed, strength and flexibility. The sessions will be introducing you to running and technique drills, speed development, leg and core strengthening, and stretching exercises. The sessions are not just running - over time they will help you to develop better technique and avoid injury!
The cost is just £15 for each 6 week course, and you will also receive a free t-shirt!
